We pride ourselves on having well-kept grounds for maximum pet enjoyment. Surrounded by over twelve acres, there are plenty of areas for our guests to walk around and explore.

The front office is your first stop for check-in, and also offers a selection of pet items, treats, and toys available for purchase.

Our barracks feature state-of-the-art kennel safety, cleanliness, and comfort.

Upon entering the barracks there is a significant lack of noise that can be attributed to isolation panels between kennels. These panels keep dogs from seeing one another, reduce noise and stress, and decrease the potential for spread of disease. It also smells clean in the barracks thanks to our 90% fresh air exchange system that continually pumps fresh air through piping systems in the floor, creating a movement of air with tremendous health and air quality benefits.

Each kennel was custom built by the Horst Company, an industry leader in safe and sanitized kennel systems. Each individual kennel is extremely spacious, with interiors ranging in size from 3’ x 3’ for our smaller dogs, to 4’ x 6’ kennels, depending on dog size and availability. Our smaller kennels have raised floors and drainage systems, while our larger kennels can even host 3 or more family pets together in a 4’ x 12’ living area. For our “climbing guests,” eight covered runs are available. Each kennel also holds a chart with pet info (name, vet, special needs, etc.) on the door to help us provide superior service.

The barracks are totally enclosed and temperature-controlled with heat and A/C, providing a cool environment in the “dog days” of summer, and warmth on cool evenings year round.

Our warm-hearted and pet-loving staff are proud of their personal handling provided to guests when moving in and out of kennels, unlike some kennels that route pets around with loud, abrasive buzzers. The barracks feel more like home with pets’ personal toys and comfort blankets provided by owners, and soon can even feel like their own quarters.

Dogs need fresh air and exercise daily, and we have outside runs built exactly for that in a safe parameter. Runs average 7.5' (W) x 25' (L) x 6' (H) and have a covered area for “escape artists,” as well as 3' of rubber matting under fencing and secured by railroad ties to prevent escape by our “digging guests.” All runs have 4-6" of “river rock” as ground cover, helping to keep pets clean, free of fleas, and well protected on their paw padding. On the hottest days of summer a misting system installed around the runs offers a mist of cool well water that keeps our guests cool as comfortable as possible.

The Pet Brigade provides a clean and spacious environment for our feline guests as well. Individual “cat condos” include litter trays and play/sleep areas for your cat, and our well ventilated room has an air exchange on a continuous basis, providing a clean smelling environment much like the dog barracks. A popular attraction at the barracks is our climbing apparatus shaped like a tree; some clients have placed orders for their own homes after seeing how much cats love it.

The Pet Brigade has an entire section devoted to the care of our pre-screened daycare dogs. There is a large playground area to run around and play in, as well as an indoor area for when the weather is bad. Read about doggie daycare policies on our Doggie Daycare page.

We also offer Puppy Care where puppies can enjoy socializing with other puppies away from older, larger dogs. Puppies get to enjoy lots of nap time and even watch Animal Planet on floor pillows while relaxing like only a puppy can.

Our professional staff of dog groomers work in the rear section of our main office and can often be seen hard at work by visitors. Dogs receive top treatment whether getting a bath, haircut, or nail trim, to name a few of our services. Our groomers pride themselves on being affectionate and professional, and this helps the dogs to be relaxed for a great grooming session.
